Angelina Whitaker

About Angelina

Angelina Whitaker is a trusted business partner who helps her clients navigate the challenges of litigation. As the daughter of immigrant small business owners, she knows first-hand the hardships and rewards of owning and operating a business. Angelina places importance on listening to her clients to understand their business and both short- and long-terms goals. And although she is always prepared to represent her clients in court, Angelina understands the cost of litigation and strives to reach non-litigated outcomes first.

Angelina represents both plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of business litigation cases, including breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud and misrepresentation, business partnership disputes and dissolutions, officer and director liability, business investments disputes, landlord/tenant matters, franchisee/franchisor disputes, and intellectual property litigation. Her clients come from a wide range of industries, including hospitality, technology, healthcare, construction and banking. In addition to representing clients in both state and federal trial courts in Georgia, Angelina has handled numerous appeals in the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, the Georgia Supreme Court, and the Georgia Court of Appeals.

Angelina is a member of the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers and the Business Law section of the State Bar of Georgia. She has served as a volunteer attorney with the Atlanta Volunteers Lawyers Foundation and Tapestri, Inc., a non-profit devoted to ending violence and oppression in immigrant and refugee communities in Georgia.

Angelina is a native of Charleston, South Carolina who moved to Atlanta, Georgia when she started her undergraduate studies at Emory University. Angelina graduated from Emory University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. She received her law degree from Georgia State University College of Law in 2007. Angelina resides in Peachtree Corners with her husband Jon and two young children, Jack and Winnie.
