Education and Legal Credentials:

Kerri has built her experience through mid-sized and large law firms in Atlanta, Georgia, and Washington D.C. She also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Carl E. Stewart of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

Kerri is a versatile attorney specializing in employment law, litigation, and general business disputes. Kerri assists businesses, small and large, comply with ever-changing employment laws, minimize risk, and promote a fair and equitable workplace. She also advises clients on employment-related policies, procedures, and contractual matters to ensure complete compliance with employment-related laws. She has over ten years of experience with federal and state court litigation, including as second chair for two federal jury trials.

Recently, Kerri assisted in obtaining a preliminary injunction on behalf of an employer against former contractors in a trade secret infringement action in federal court.

Kerri is licensed in Georgia, California, and the District of Columbia and graduated from Tulane Law School Magna Cum Laude and Order of the Coif. Kerri was also the Managing Editor, for the Tulane Law Review.

While my path to the law was not a straight line, I am grateful for my varied background.  I learned so much from each experience.  I believe that my background has allowed me to see and experience different challenges, and perhaps some things that other typical attorneys might not get to experience. . .  that has helped me to be a better problem solver for my clients.

Kerri frequently represents businesses in both state and federal courts, before agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).

She also assists clients with a myriad of employment-related disputes, including complaints of employment discrimination, as well as general business matters such violations of nondisclosure obligations, breach of contract, torts, and trade secret violations.

Personal Background

Kerri grew up on a small farm in southeastern Ohio. She is the first attorney in her family.  Kerri put herself through college working a wide variety of jobs, including as a waitress, building fans on an assembly line, at an electric power plant (she still has her hard hat from that job), and as a manager at her college recreation center.  Before going to law school, Kerri worked at a crisis hotline in a suburb of Washington, DC where she was also a court advocate for victims.  When not practicing law, she enjoys live music and spending time with family, friends, and her young son.
